Styles of Sofas and Couchesoo
Sofas are an investment of both money and style, so if you are in the market for a new one, consider your choices carefully. The two basic styles are traditional and modern, but within those families exist a wealth of variations to choose from with different functions and comfort levels. Whether your look is formal or casual, looking at the arms, back and legs of the couch will help you identify the style

Sectionals
Sectionals are among the most popular styles of couches because they offer flexibility. Sectionals can be arranged in several ways, divided into two or more sections or placed in an "L" shape. Modern in style, sectionals come in cloth or leather upholstery and many feature recliners. They are best used in large spaces and have a modern flair.
Club and Camelback
These are two traditional style sofas. The club style, also known as English, features short legs or casters, attached back cushions and slightly curved arms. The more formal camelback, a style made popular by Thomas Chippendale in the 18th century, has a curved upholstered back and tightly rolled arms. The legs may be exposed or covered with a skirt. Both of the styles speak to sophisticated, classic design and muted colors.
Cabriole and Chesterfield
Two elegant classic styles are the Chesterfield and cabriole. The cabriole is recognizable due to a back which curves into the sofa
